Leslie Lotano-Saba – Managing Director
Leslie Lotano-Saba is a healthcare executive with an extensive career navigating the intricate landscape of managed care, primarily in government programs. She is recognized for developing innovative and practical strategies that not only slash costs but elevate profit margins without compromising an ounce of quality. Leslie has applied her extensive knowledge and real-world experience to assist health plans, PBMs, technology, and clinical care organizations, addressing strategic and operational issues to improve their performance.
Leslie’s previous experience includes President of Saba and Associates, a NY and IL certified women business enterprise (WBE) healthcare consulting firm; COO of Clinical Support Services, a medication therapy management company where she was responsible for operational efficiency improvements and revenue growth; Senior Vice President for Amerigroup (now under the Elevance umbrella) where she orchestrated the pharmacy program for one of the nation’s largest Medicaid managed care plans, managing state carve-ins, designing and implementing innovative savings solutions; and Vice President of Pharmacy for Horizon NJ Health, the largest Medicaid managed care plan in New Jersey where she not only insourced pharmacy benefits management but also curated groundbreaking initiatives like the Community Pharmacist Diabetes Initiative and an acclaimed Asthma disease management program. Her leadership journey also includes steering operational improvements at NCS Healthcare (long-term care), PSCNY/Centrus (PBM), and Medco mail service pharmacy in the bustling landscape of New York.
A dedicated partner of the healthcare community, Leslie is an active member of AMCP where she served 3 years on the Public Policy Committee and 4 years on the AMCP Medication Therapy Management Advisory Group, showcasing her commitment to shaping policies and practices in the industry.
Leslie holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from Albany College of Pharmacy and a Masters in Healthcare Administration from Union College (Clarkson University). Her commitment to continuous growth and leadership is further underscored by her attendance at the Wharton School Executive Management Program for Pharmacy Leaders.
Leslie’s influence extends to esteemed affiliations with CHIEF, Women Business Leaders (WBL), Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA), and the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).
Outside of work, Leslie spends most of her time with her two sons, a large extended family, and her horses.
