AArete is proud to announce the successful conclusion of its impactful summer internship program, an annual initiative that provides pro bono services to charitable organizations in Chicago. The program, which this year hosted 14 students from universities across the U.S., enables interns to collaborate closely with the experienced consulting professionals at AArete. 

The recently concluded AArete Internship Program brought together a diverse group of students who worked diligently to develop and deliver innovative, actionable solutions for Street Samaritans, Mercy Home, and The Bloc, organizations that AArete also supports throughout the year. Guided by a team of consulting professionals, interns gained real consulting project experience with both charitable organizations and other AArete clients, while making a positive difference in the community. 

“At AArete, we believe in the collective power to drive lasting change,” reflected SueEllen Carroll, a director at AArete. “Our internship program not only equips students with practical consulting and project management skills but also empowers them to meaningfully impact these fantastic organizations.”

Throughout the program, interns engaged in immersive training sessions and hands-on project work, contributing directly to the growth and success of the charitable organizations. This year’s interns have left a lasting impact on the community, and AArete hopes to inspire other students to apply for the company’s internship program in 2024. As SueEllen highlighted, “The meaningful research and recommendations delivered by this year’s class serve as a testament to the mission-driven work that future AArete interns can do for our nonprofit partners, as well as our clients in healthcare, financial services, and other industries.” 

The AArete Internship Program not only provides students with unparalleled exposure to the consulting world but is one of the leading pathways to Analyst-level employment with the company. “Interns often return to our firm post-graduation and have historically become some of AArete’s most high-performing team members,” SueEllen observed. “They have the advantage of having already built a network within AArete while getting experience with our analytical methodologies and gaining insight into our culture of care.”  

AArete will welcome a Summer 2024 intern class from May 20 to August 2. Prospective interns are encouraged to prepare now for next year’s competitive program, where selected participants will have the opportunity to receive a stipend for their commitment. Applications will be open to students from diverse academic backgrounds, with evaluations based on achievements, potential, and dedication to community service.
