John Smith – Senior Advisor

John Smith serves as a Senior Advisor to the firm bringing more than 30 years of talent management leadership experience from the professional services, financial services, and healthcare industries. John most recently served as the SVP of Human Resources for AArete for more than 5 years, leading the firm’s human resource strategy. He started his professional career at Arthur Andersen providing audit services to clients before focusing on human resources. Over time, he honed his expertise and grew into leadership roles in first recruiting, then human resources and administration. 

Following Arthur Andersen, he diversified his experiences by serving as a Regional Director of Human Resources at KPMG, Chief Human Resources Officer at William Blair, and VP of Human Resources at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab. John holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Management (MBA) from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
