Mike Salamon – Director

Mike Salamon is a director with over seven years of experience partnering with both payer and provider organizations. He has led initiatives across a wide range of healthcare operational areas, including network development and new market entry strategy, cost of care, value-based care (VBC) reporting and performance management, health equity, provider data management (PDM), and vendor risk management. Additionally, Mike brings deep expertise in cost reduction solutions, including provider contracting, utilization management, and claims and provider configuration.

He has successfully led new market entry strategies and network development efforts for both top-five and small-market payer organizations across more than six markets. His experience spans Medicare Advantage, Commercial Exchange, and Medicaid products. Mike’s work has included everything from network design and contracting strategy to competitor positioning analysis and identification of strengths and win themes to support RFP narrative development. His leadership through provider contracting, network development, and filing has resulted in successful market entries.

Mike managed a team of over ten consultants in a large-scale analysis of claims and provider configuration for a top-five payer organization. This initiative identified direct savings of over $15 million and supported accurate accrual of provider reimbursements. He assessed the application of payment policies to ensure regulatory compliance and alignment with industry best practices, including benefit and utilization management structures.

In addition, Mike conducted a comprehensive assessment of vendor management and data-sharing processes for a Fortune 50 organization. His work proactively identified and mitigated organizational risks and led to the implementation of new processes to reduce future exposure.

Mike’s expertise includes project management, data analytics, payer and provider network analysis, contract and vendor management, process improvement, cost savings analysis, and provider data management. He is proficient in SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Economics from the Fordham University Gabelli School of Business.
